The Malaysia I Love

I have just come back to work today after almost a months' absence (6 days conference/ 2 weeks course). As usual, I would log on to the internet ( we have wireless now at the uni so good) and go straight to read what our revered DrM had to talk about today. I don't know why but since he started his blog a month ago reading reading his blog is the very first thing I have to do prior to doing anything else. With all the political turmoil that is surrounding Malaysia at the moment, reading his blog is like ' a soothing medicine that calms my troubled mind'. Really guys, I am quite concerned at what's going off in our country. I am not in the least surpised he hit the 1 million mark in one month because I think a lot of people feel like me too and seek his blog to alleviate their worries.

I think by now everyone knows whats going off after the GE. I am one of those people that do not and will not support Keadilan but at the same time want some of the ministers in the Govt kicked out (Katherine Jackson especially?) because they are freaking jerks!! At times like these I wish we can reappoint our DrM ( i I still can't call him Tun, not out of disrespect - its just a like my way of calling him 'Dad') as only he will know what to do.

Coincidentally I have just returned from a two week obligatory 'induksi' course for the Public Service Officers. In the two weeks I was there, I learnt loads of things that I had forgotten about, things like history of Malaysia: the formation of Malaysia and the involvement of all races in the pursuit of kemerdekaan from the British way back in 1957. It was good that I attended this course ( although I really dreaded it at first) coz in the time I was away there were so many tings that i forgot. All of a sudden the feel of love to my country and my compariots be it Malays,Indians or Chinese, comes back rushing to me all of sudden..

It just made me realize that no matter how different we are , we are all anak jati bangsa Malaysia and the country needs us to work together for the betterment of everyone.

At the moment there is a lot of 'race' issues being brought up, and at this point , I must quote my Arian's favourite song: WHERE IS THE LOVE



But if you only have love for your own race

Then you only leave space to discriminate

And to discriminate only generates hate

And when you hate then you're bound to get irate



Madness is what you demonstrate

And that's exactly how anger works and operates

Man, you gotta have love just to set it straight

Take control of your mind and meditate

Let your soul gravitate to the love -y'all
