MY CHEBOBOT GOT 5AS!!!! SYUKUR ALHAMDULILLAH .
My humble two cents on academic excellence in Islam :
Our function in life as dictated by Allah swt are three :
1) to be His hamba
2) to do good and justice to man and contents of this earth
3) to be a Khalifah of this earth
Effort is a prerequisite to ask for help from Allah . We cannot expect
to fold arms and expect success . We have to work hard to succeed.
As a teacher, I personally do not subscribe to academic mediocrity as an Islamic way of life. Material wealth yes definitely.
As how can we be a Khalifah of this earth if we are academically mediocre? We have to be excellent.
Ubuddiah is key. But it should never cloud excellence in life. If it
did then we have unfortunately misunderstood our blessed deen.
Let's not subscribe to mediocrity . Let's also not also subscribe to ujub, riak and hasad dengki to achieve success.
It is not permissible and will menggelapkan mata hati.
So for us who think its ok to be so so and go to Jannah let's reset our minds. A reminder first and foremost for me.
So good job on all Muslims - brothers and sisters and especially our
CHILDREN who have succeeded academically and duas for us still fighting
the good fight.
